Tangible Communication Objects

The purpose of the project is to revisit popular ideas in remote awareness. With an emphasis on software development, the result of the project is a hardware and software platform that enables easy implementation and experimentation with remote awareness applications.

To illustrate the possibilities of the platform, a prototype has been made. The prototype consists of a number of wirelessly connected “balls”, that collectively responds to user interaction. By developing the the prototype in parallel with the more generic platform, it became a driving factor in the platform design and implementation.
