Exploring materials through design practices

Vasiliki is doing her PhD at KTH in stockholm with Ylva Fernaeus and is visiting ITU the rest of the year sitting in IxD lab! On October 8. She did a talk on Exploring materials through design practices.

“In this presentation I will give a brief overview of my background before starting my PhD and then I will talk about my current research interests as a PhD student at Mobile Life Centre and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, in Stockholm. As part of the Arts & Crafts project at Mobile Life I am studying various crafting processes and tools emerging during post-industrial times, but also a number of ‘traditional’ materials brought in interaction design.”
